According to my mom our family has been in space since before the flash. The family history says that we were part of some program for the old American empire. I guess they could be right. Moms got some picture of one of our ancestors (Ken Mattingly) in some kind of early space explorer gear. Never really paid much attention to the old stories, I was more interested in the fact that I can move thing with my mind. I mean it’s nice to have an actual last name, not just a number. But enough about people who died long before I care to pay attention. I spent most of my life on Freedom Station, gotta say glad that happened. Once I was old enough to travel I joined up with anyone who needed a medic. Lucky for me that’s quite a lot of people. Cause of where I grew up I really try and give people the benefit of the doubt, but from the little bit of traveling I’ve done I can see that most of the communities in space are far to self involved. To quote the old saying “can’t we all just get along”? I mean then maybe we could start colonizing other planets, we started on a planet and part of me has always felt like we need to go back to one. Earth is probably a lost cause, but there are a bunch of others here that really aren’t doing anything. I guess that’s the romantic in me wishing for dirt on my shoes.

I guess that’s how I ended up back home (and somewhat on the run). Took a job with a trader, looked simple enough, to Luna base. Everything went great till we dropped of the cargo. Next thing I know were in an argument about the cargo and then the shooting started. We made it to the ship and were blasting out when the captain took one in the chest. As the crew started our escape I started may work in the son of bitch. Still not sure how but when I started my diagnosis I got a glimpse into his mind. Short story he didn’t make it cause the “wound was to bad”. Next port we hit I was off the ship before anyone could start questioning. I’m not sure if the crew knows what happened but I can live without that knowledge. Besides the things I saw that crew do I didn’t think sticking around would be good for my health. The only good thing I got out of this is a small bout of paranoia that makes me try and be prepared. Not a bad thing, but just in case I traded in my revolver for a pistol with twice the capacity. I’m an amazing psychic even I can run out of juice. After that debacle I started to take step to cover my as a little more, just in case. I’m not some doomsday freak or anything, but like my mom always said luck favored the prepared (god I hate admitting my mom’s right).Now I’m just trying to stay out of their way and find some more work. Now I just hope I don’t get stuck with a bunch of psychos again. Not too worried though, its kinda nice being able to throw the problem out of the way with my mind.
