Re: In Game Purchases

Location: Arms of Yore, Arms Bazaar

Hiro has no funds for modern weapons. I wish I could at least get a rifle, or on a lucky day, a vibro kusari gama, but now is a time to make do. Some more wood and silver couldn't hurt.

Word around town was Arms of Yore was THE place to buy ancient weapons. Cautiously, he approached the store, recognizing a picture of European style weapons, the ancient kind, on their sign. Dressed in green and brown flecktarn trousers, a Hiroshima Carp jersey and his straw hat, he walks inside.

Finding a clerk, a dwarf, he cast tongues to speak his language. "Hello. I am looking for a silver plated kusari fundo and a pair of wooden nunchaku. Can you help me?" He tries to seem friendly to the dwarf, but none too friendly. He didn't really know about their kind, seeing only a few in Japan.

He then searchesfor a department store with basic camping supplies and food. He bows respectfully to the clerk selecting hiking boots of good quality an makes sure they are waterproof, two metal canteens and a standard first aid kit. Then he pays for his purchase and goes to a grocery, where he buys a 25-lb. sack of dry white rice. He also got some basic grooming supplies, several rolls of toilet paper, soap, shampoo, a wash cloth and towel, comb, toothbrush and toothpaste, etc.

All items go straight to his backpack, except the kusari fundo, which he slips into a pocket. The nunchaku go into a pair of Molles on his backpack.

[Okubo Hiroki] Equipment List:
  1. Wooden Nunchaku -- cost 50 cr -- book pg#: Rifts Japan, Pg.#119
  2. Kusari Fundo (silver plated) -- cost 360 cr (with silver) -- book pg#: Rifts Japan, Pg.#119, Silver plating in Vampire Kingdoms, pg. 30
    At the general store/department store
  3. Top grade waterproof Hiking boots: Cost 284 cr
  4. Two aluminum canteens: Cost: 30X2=60 RUC
  5. 25 pounds of dry white rice: Cost: 18 credits
  6. Standard first aid kit: Cost: 100 credits, source: RUE
  7. Grooming supplies Cost: 20 credits
    Total: 880, plus E clip
  8. If affordable, one extra pistol e-clip: 3,500 to 5,000 credits.

Oh, I just thought of at least one more item that I want for my character that probably wouldn't be in a book. An MD gallon tank that I can wear on my back with an electric sprayer (basically an over sized MD canteen with an electric sprayer). I figure one of these would probably be no more than 100 credits.

None of these are listed in any books that I have seen, so here goes.

Electronic
  • Enough parts to build 8 drones that are roughly 1' to 1.5' across with a anticipated flight time of at least 30 minutes and a range of 500'
  • 2 Audio/Video transmitters and one receiver to be installed on the drones and remote
    • I want to design the drones so that I can easily move the cameras and transmitters from one drone to another.
  • 1 VR headset
  • 2 extra hand held computers (RUE p. 262, 2,500 ea., 5000 credits total)

Electronic/Mechanical
  • 3d printer
    • I'd like to get a 3d Printer that is capable of working with MDC materials. We already have 3d Printers capable of working with metal today.

All purchases good.

The Kusari Fundo required someone to billet steel and machine it before electroplating it with silver. x 2 cost.

Cost: 5,752 Credits

Remaining currency: 2,018 Unsecured NGMI Credits

An MD gallon tank that I can wear on my back with an electric sprayer (basically an over sized MD canteen with an electric sprayer). I figure one of these would probably be no more than 100 credits.
- 4 gallon electric backpack sprayer, runs: From Babcock & Sons, list price sprayer with included special power cell (can use standard E-Clips), 3 M.D.C. 900 NGMI

Electronic
  • Enough parts to build 8 drones that are roughly 1' to 1.5' across with a anticipated flight time of at least 30 minutes and a range of 500'
Hexacopter, 75 SDC
- From Electronics Warehouse: 2000 NGMI ea, 4,000 NGMI total
  • 2 Audio/Video transmitters and one receiver to be installed on the drones and remote
    - From Electronics Warehouse: Communicators (GMG 183): Small, the size of a pack of cigarettes or cell phone fitted with a handy clip and holster case with clip to hook onto armor, pockets, collars and vests, as well as fit in pockets and belt pouches. Weight: 5 ounces (142 grams). S.D.C.: 10. Range: Five miles (8 km). + Video Cost: 3,000 credits; 6,000 NGMI total
    • I want to design the drones so that I can easily move the cameras and transmitters from one drone to another.
  • 1 VR headset
- From Electronics Warehouse: 75,000 NGMI
  • 2 extra hand held computers (RUE p. 262, 2,500 ea., 5000 credits total)
- From Electronics Warehouse

Total: 90,900 NGMI

Electronic/Mechanical
  • 3d printer
    • I'd like to get a 3d Printer that is capable of working with MDC materials. We already have 3d Printers capable of working with metal today.
    - Not available: this was discussed among the GMs and determined that they only exist in industrial scales.
