Brute frowns. "Environmental conditions seem to keep stymying us. First fire and now snow. We need a better system."

"If there is a west coast Omega team we could transfer there. Wonder if the west coast Omegas team is like the west coast avengers?" she grinned and shrugged. the idea of a west coast base did have a nice sound but the cost in suntan oil and the constant sunburn would not be fun.

Wi-Fi, Once we have coordinates, I want you to get us a map, and whatever intel you can find on approaches and strategic advantages.

"I can do that. Pretty sure it's well-defended and we can use their own cameras against them. I expect Magic and other technical elements considering Ironvien and the Young elite's tech specialist. I should look at those coordinates. Google earth and satellite might have something." she pulled out her handheld and started a search on the place. a look from google earth, then if there was a building a search on the building and any floor plans it has.

He will transmit to the others, "Still tracking the armor, shall I continue and find out where it leads, or rejoin the rest of you?"

"Brute, how do we handle this? I'm thinking if Black Tempest is not working with the Order. If he is we will find out in the raid. Given the chance of the order working with Black Tempest is low." she looks to Brute.

Blackhaunt wrote:The Omegas don't find anything that would act as an obvious signal jammer in their search. However, the signal is working now, so that becomes less of a priority. The call comes out over the radios of those wearing Omega Suits. "Let CSPD wrap up the investigation. Director wants a full debrief and this newjack to be registered. Sounds like you've got the rest of the day to do paperwork."

The gathered Omegas (Rook, Rampart and Empire) bid adieu to the police and head to CHIMERA HQ with Moya in tow. True to their word, the entire rest of the day is filled with paperwork. Moya is given the choice to join the Omegas and make a difference using her abilities for a bit of money or to cease using her abilities within city limits on pain of imprisonment. Once that decision is made, you are all given a place to sleep for the night at CHIMERA HQ.

Tom grumbles to himself as their search for the signal jammer turns up empty. The radio message doesn't exactly help his mood either. "Roger that," he grunts into his comlink.

He turns back to the detective. "We've been recalled to HQ for a glorious evening of debriefs and paperwork of our own. I'll hang around long enough for C-SWAT to take the goons outside into custody as there are still force fields around them. Once again, I'm very sorry things went sideways. I wish my first encounter with local LEOs could have been under better circumstances." True to his word, he assists by dropping force fields as the officers arrest the goons before joining the others at HQ and grabbing a hot shower before crashing onto a bed.

Well that could have gone better... he muses to himself as he stares up at the ceiling. First op back in my good old home dimension, and I pull a rookie move. Several in fact. And for all we know Divine and Doodles paid the price for those rookie moves... the inner chastisement continues until he falls asleep from sheer exhaustion.

The next morning finds him in not a much better mood, but at least feeling refreshed and back up to full strength. At least that's a win, he thinks to himself as he joins Rook, Empire and Moya for breakfast (assuming anyone else is up and about with a mind to be social).

Blackhaunt wrote:The next day, you all receive a message. "Director Balisong here. Sounds like last night was rough. Today promises to be rougher. The Omegas need you in the field ASAP. Sending you coordinates now. Meet up with Omega Leader Brute. Big red guy. You can't miss him. Good luck."

"Out of the frying pan..." Tom smirks as he hits his comlink. "Big Red Brute. Roger that, Director. We're on our way. Rampart out." Turning to the others he gives a big cheesy grin. "Big ray of freakin' sunshine, there. Guess it's back to work -- here's hoping there are no salad-eating Herrings on the job today." He turns his attention to Moya. "You a flyer? If not, you're welcome to hitch a ride. My discs are just like flying carpets... only without the whole 'carpety' thing. I promise not to sing about 'whole new worlds' and stuff though."

He gears up and whips up a disc large enough for him and Moya (if she agrees to ride along) so they can be on their way. When they arrive at the coordinates they were given, he brings the disc to a halt a couple inches off the ground and dissipates it from underneath their feet. Looking around he spots a hulking individual with four arms, red skin, white hair and yellow eyes. 'You can't miss him' -- boy howdy, did she ever pull off the understatement of the day...

He walks up to the big red guy. "We're looking for a big red guy named Brute -- you ever heard of him?" He asks with a grin as he sticks out his hand. "Name's Cassidy. Tom Cassidy. Known as 'Rampart' out in the field. Or used to be once upon a time, anyway. Director Balisong told us y'all could use a hand out here."

Moya shakes her head slightly. A brief smile flashes across her face before the stoic look chases it away.

"Me, flight? Sadly, no. Oh to be up there with the birds being free, that would be great. Unfortunately my wings are clipped. You know it could be worse. You could have always sang ‘Just around the riverbend’. Are your disc soft like a carpet? Because that would be awesome. No, that sounds good with me if hitch a ride with you, it sure beats running the whole way. Though I don't you would be able to keep up."

Moya thanks Tom Cassidy for the ride, once they reach their destination. She takes a step of the disc and looks around. Taking a mental step back when see the enormous red skinned man. She will wait and follow Tom's or Rook's lead. Waking behind them but not too close so she doesn't seem like she being intrusive. Moya will nod if anyone acknowledges her.

"Oh that sounds like a challenge..." Tom grins. Speedster too? Wonder what else she's packing powers-wise. "I got clocked around 250 mph at one point a while back, but it feels like I've gotten faster since then. It's kinda hard for me to tell though as I don't feel the G's from acceleration. The scenery just whizzes by faster." He shrugs.

Tom's expression clearly indicates his surprise as he shakes Clint's hand (hopefully one of the more human-looking ones). This guy's done his homework. "I'm rather impressed. That's me, in the flesh. I fell off more than just the radar -- but that's a crazy story for another day. Pleased to meet ya Brute."

At the mention of Rook and Moya, he nods and moves aside so they can make their respective introductions. Once introductions are made he turns his attention back to Brute. "So what's the sitrep? Balisong was a little sparse on the details. As in she didn't give any outside of 'they need your help' and 'they're at this location.'"

Brute's eyes widen, and he smiles - a goofy-looking grin that is clearly genuine. "Get outta town! That's you? Awesome. The pleasure's all mine. You'll have to tell me about the SLJ sometime. And don't worry about falling off the radar. Occupational hazard. We all do it. Hell, I was in another dimension for a half hour, over the course of 3 months. They thought we were dead."

He thinks about the Spider Queen dimension, and the epic fight they had there to defeat her. We still haven't been paid for that.

Rampart wrote:"So what's the sitrep? Balisong was a little sparse on the details. As in she didn't give any outside of 'they need your help' and 'they're at this location.'"

Brute shrugs. "We have visiting allies from Ultra City. A group of criminals from there, called The Order, zapped one of their guys with a dimensional portal gun, and we've been... involved. They're trying to take up residence here in Century Station for some reason, and we're trying to evict them, and find Silicate - that's the Ultra who got zapped. There's... nuance, but that's the long and short of it. We got a guy rebuilding the portal gun as we speak, and we have coordinates on the Order's local HQ. Odin willing we'll get them out and get Silicate back post haste."

Tom nods. "Sure thing. I'll also have to tell you about my own other-dimensional adventure. That's why I was 'off the radar' for so long -- when you spend three months over the course of over nine years, they do more than 'think' you're dead. They declare you dead, and when you prove them wrong it's a pain in the butt to get them to declare you UNdead." He chuckles. "So I guess I'm legally a zombie now," he adds as he makes some appropriate groans and shuffling movements.

Tom raises an eyebrow briefly at Brute's mention of Odin. First time I've heard that name mentioned on this side of reality. He and Lancelot would probably get along famously. "Nope, none of those names sound familiar..." he shakes his head. "Either they're relatively new players on the board or they weren't on the SLJ's radar." He shrugs.

Rook just nodded to Rampart as news of a new mission was brought forward. "Another day, another dollar I guess.." she sighs, then tilts her head. "I forget, do we get paid to do this? Or are we working off our room and board? I hope not the latter since I'm feeding two mouths." the blonde adds, rubbing the back of her head a little.

"Speaking off, I'll have to introduce you two to Diane at some point.. she's pretty tickled to be living around so many heroes." Rook adds, about her daughter.

-----

Once they've made it to the rendezvous, Rook steps forward to shake Brute's hand while offering him a tentative smile. "Hey.. it's been awhile hasn't it. I'm sorry about last time.. I just wasn't ready I guess. I think things will be better this time around though. Hell, I made a point of throwing myself in front of bullets yesterday.. and didn't throw up even once at the sight of blood!" she explains, feeling a little intimidated in the red-skinned guys presence.

Taking a step back, Rook listens in on the short briefing, then offering a nod. "Alright.. so where do you need us? And, do our allies have some sort of Friend or Foe identification on them?"

Hell, I made a point of throwing myself in front of bullets yesterday.. and didn't throw up even once at the sight of blood!" she explains, feeling a little intimidated in the red-skinned guys presence.

"No need to apologize for inexperience. You did fine far as I could tell. Getting bothered by the sight of blood is something you will learn to deal with easier as you see it. As for combat..a little hand to hand training will help with any fear of getting hit. I could use a training partner anyway. Your welcome to join me." she adds, "As for where we need you I have a few ideas. Until we get a look at the lair your scout and going to be a lockpick if they have metal locks. I recall you having the ability to sens and manipulate metals. Good to see you in action again." she gives Rook a nod.

Brute smiles quizzically at her. "You are so random sometimes. Though, sun and surf doesn't sound half bad right about now."

"I blame you, Clint..You are getting me to loosen up." she told him with smile, "Not a bad thing I suppose." she paused "I'll pass on the sun, but surf. I can stand to learn surfing. We should do that sometime. If we get vacation time." she comments then looks to Rampart.

"Name's Cassidy. Tom Cassidy. Known as 'Rampart' out in the field. Or used to be once upon a time, anyway. Director Balisong told us y'all could use a hand out here."

"I swear no one uses secret ID's in public. Its so easy to overhear a conversation or get on youtube and be found there." she thought then spoke up,

"Good to meet ya. Don't mind me I'm just a bit cranky at losing collars thanks to my recently developed maternal instincts to protect teammates. Speaking of...where did my little foundlings go. Ah, there they are." the three spider-bots were near her looking about and getting a good look at the newcomers.

"Don't mind the spiderbots..I found them a few raids back. I didn't have the heart to melt them down..now they are like cats with lasers and elctro-beams..but no need clean up litter so better than cats." as she looked back at the hand held they took particular interest in Moya. While not hostile or threating looked up at her and took few steps back. then returned to Wi-Fi's feet.

"I think they like you." Wi-Fi joked, "Speaking of which..anything I should know about you two not mentioned for planning this next raid. Rook's abilities I know already."

The head is at an unnatural tilt clearly broken and the hair burned away leaving naked dangling earrings. There is Mary. Poor Mary. The best newscaster they have ever seen. the Emperor remembers that he was going to save her. Flames dance harmlessly over Sentinel’s stone skin as he climbs into the wreckage of the helicopter. Sentinel picks up the woman’s body that crackles under movement and smelling terribly of burnt flesh. Leaving the helicopter Sentinel retreats back up the alley and to the street where her surviving news team waits anxiously.

”She is dead.” Sentinel says lying her down before them. A familiar image of déjà vu runs away with his thoughts.

The room smells of sweat and sick. The hall was full of people in various states of health. Some were holding their loved ones, rocking back and forth crying. They cried that their loved ones died, or were dying as they themselves slowly die. Cries for help and woe fill the air and none seemed to be answered. No one would help them. Too sick to save they were driven here in quarantine from the “healthy” left to die.

Only one walks from one to another oblivious to the sickness that plagues the hall. He leans down going from one to another whispering before moving on. In his wake wails of ‘Thank you!’ and ‘Thank god!’ are heard amidst tears of painful sorrow. A sorrow of such that screamed of happiness and pain. Behind him as he whispers over another a boy that was lifeless since the morning moves. Another’s coughing subsides….

“Praise the Yellow Dragon! Praise the Yellow Dragon! Praise the Yellow Dragon!”, the cheers for the were heard for miles around the city.

Sentinel stirs from his vision with the news crew before him crying in despair over their friend's body. Remembering these memories of godliness, this obscure history that did not feel like his own he states, ”I can save her. She is dead, but I can bring her back. Do you want her alive? If you do you must praise and worship me, the Yellow Dragon Emperor.” He whispers to the man in the Hawaiian shirt. Invoke Trust: 94%/1d100 = 85

If the man says he does and praises Sentinel will tell him.

”Good, now get your camera ready and behold!” Sentinel commands him to broadcast the miracle.

Sentinel sensing another ectype is nearby on the roof he calls out to him with his powerful voice. [Divine Aura] to aid him. ”Come to me and aid me Zheng!”

WAINGROH
Date: Monday, March 23rd, 2043
Weather: Outside: Raining (30 degrees Fahrenheit)
Time: 9:45-10:00 am

Once the weather clears up, the Omegas all reconvene. Like a good leader, Brute immediately begins thinking of tactics and ways to improve combat. Eternal Soldier sends over the coordinates to the Order's HQ. It's located in Waingroh as well, a few blocks north of the Cover Charge, the infamous bar for folks selling information and known for its two owners, Tifa and Sheri known for enforcing a no fighting policy.

Spiderweb tracks Crashpad until he receives the order from Brute to return to the group.

With the order from the Eternal Soldier for an assist, Teen Force Ultra get ready to head out. Feather reaches a hand out to shake Brute's. "We've gotta go assist Eternal Soldier. We'll be in touch as soon as we're done. Thank you for all your help with this, dude. The coordinates he sent are pretty close to here. In this neighborhood at least. See ya soon." Feather and the rest of Teen Force Ultra all gather around, put a hand on Battletoad's shoulder and blink out of sight.

Rampart arrives with Moya on his flight disk and with Rook following closely behind. After some basic introductions and Brute's knowledge of Rampart's previous team, Brute requests that Wi-Fi pull up the dossiers regarding who's who in this case.

At the helicopter, Sentinel walks into the smoldering ruins and retrieves the body of Mary the Newscaster. He walks up to the cameraman and tells him that he will save his coworker if he worships him and films the event. Stunned but receptive, the cameraman nods and says meekly "Thank you Yellow Dragon Emperor." The camera is raised and the following events are filmed. A man wearing some rouge and in some sort of Pan-Asian armor (is it painted on?) leans over a burnt and broken body. Another man that looks just like him joins in, standing near but not touching the body. The first man says "Worship and behold me and I will endow you with life." There is a shimmering as the burnt body begins to float slightly above the ground. From every direction on the body, the shimmer heads toward the center, and with it revitalization. Charred skin becomes soft and supple, snapped bone knits itself, burnt hair fills out in an instant. Then, a gasp. Mary the Newscaster breathes her first breath of new life and looks around in a panic. Her eyes meet with Sentinel's and she quickly crawls backward from him. Her eyes meet with those of her cameraman's and she rushes toward him and hugs him, sobbing.
Mary: "Did we... was I..."
Cameraman: "Yeah. We crashed. You died, Mary."
Mary: "But... how..."
Cameraman: *pause* "All Hail the Yellow Dragon Emperor." The cameraman kneels while still keeping the camera in focus. Mary turns around to face Sentinel.
Mary: "Yellow...Dragon Emperor? Mary Marsh, WCTV Channel 9 news. Who are you, where do you come from, what are your intentions here in Century Station? Do you have a first name? What powers do you possess? Are you a Legionnaire or a Cavalier?" She turns to her cameraman and says "Norm are you getting this?"

What are you doing?
Let the GAMES begin.

The Order is more dedicated than most and does take time to drill their team if the TFU co-ordination is anything to go by."

Home and Wealth

"Now with Coordinates, I can get some plans. Half the work is done. Swear I am using real estate sites more as means to find secret lairs. If I live long enough to buy a house I'll be well practiced." Wi-Fi thought she as starts a search hoping it turns out better now that the mutant had a better lead with precise coordinates.

Her main focus was on commercial and industrial first. If the order was old they had money. Money meant possible industry and real estate connections. If they had them it would not be in their own city. She would put her money in another city to prevent links and reduce chances of assets from being found by local heroes. Heroes were not the kind to check other cities in concern of infringing on turf. Like villains, they did not network well. It was a flaw of Vigilantes as well.

One fact people often overlooked the fact it took money to make money. That meant investing in things that made money and live off the profits and interest earned and not the money made.

Brute nods and shakes the young man's hand. "Go kick some ass."

Great kids... I don't know how responsible it is for Ultra Force to send them out like that, but I guess if they'd do it anyway, it's better they do so with direction and proper training than without.

Wi-Fi wrote:"And Brute we need to get better strategy and tactics practice. TFU just outshined us in that department...badly."

Brute thinks in response, You're not wrong, Clarica. We keep charging in like a bunch of savages and getting our asses handed to us. We'll have to do a little better prep on the front end.

Brute keys open his radio to C.S.P.D. "CSPD, this is Brute. The situation here is under control, and the Omegas are needed elsewhere. Please send a report to Omega HQ when we know what Black Tempest stole and we will begin work on recovering it. Omegas are proceeding to another locale. Brute out."

He announces to Omegas new and old - "Team. We have our coordinates. Load up into the APC, and let's get rolling."

Ideally, we'd have a speedster and a flyer go and reconnoiter - need to get outfitted with cameras to transmit video back to team leads. Until then, I'd just be sending folks blindly into danger.

Once everyone is aboard the APC and it gets moving, he announces. "So - orders: When we get there, I would like Sentinel to send an ectype to reconnoiter the perimeter on foot, and Rook to reconnoiter from the sky, and report back before we enter. Wi-Fi is gathering data on that location, and we'll make a quick plan when we have further intel. Let's not just go haring off into the fox den without a plan this time."

Brute looks around the APC to see if there's a fresh Omega suit he can change into. "If anyone needs a medic, speak up now."

Better keep tight. No one like a show off on their first mission. Besides the best way to earn their trust is to do what I'm told and do it well. Got'ta remember that I'm the noob and they're the vets. Medics?! Hell no! Bunch of crack pipes. Ain't gon'na let them lay hands on me.

Moya winches at the mention of being seen by a medic. Doing her best to hide her discomfort as she looks down at the floor and shakes her head.

"Don't mind the spiderbots..I found them a few raids back. I didn't have the heart to melt them down..now they are like cats with lasers and elctro-beams..but no need clean up litter so better than cats."

Tom grunts. "Tell me about it. That was our day yesterday." His thoughts go back to the moment when Lacuna slipped through their fingers. And we didn't even get a chnance to lay a star-spangled glove on him. Here's hoping CSPD or CHIMERA can locate Divine and Doodles. Mister Shiny White Suit won't get away from Round Two so easily if I have anything to say about it.

He does however give a lopsided grin at the mention of the spiderbots. "Hey, any day I can go without scooping out a litter box is a good day in my book."

Brute wrote:"Team. We have our coordinates. Load up into the APC, and let's get rolling."

Tom casts his eyes upon the group's APC. "Wow. Actual wheels. Today's getting a bit better already." I could probably fly circles around this rolling brick. But when in Rome... or in this case, Century Station... he muses as he gets in the vehicle.

Brute wrote:Once everyone is aboard the APC and it gets moving, he announces. Tom nods as he listens. "Sounds like a game plan to me. Nah, I'm good. Lacuna's goons didn't do anything to us that wasn't rectified with a good night's sleep." Physically, anyway. "Just one question -- what's an 'ectype' anyway?" He glances over at Wi-Fi. "More drones like these spider-bots?"

He spends the rest of the APC ride reviewing dossiers and making any further introductions that he might have missed when they first arrived.

It was like nothing Sentinel ever remembered feeling as a sudden surge of euphoria came over him. That was… he thought an unfinished thought realizing the emotion radiated from his own ectype. Moving like the wind he arrived next to the pair of ectypes observing the miracle of Mary Marsh rising to her scared and startled feet and immediately began questioning what happened in great and earnest detail.

That one is not the typical mortal. She is made of sterner stuff for sure and determined like a phoenix rising as powerful as it was before death. he thinks finding the situation Ironic as a proverb came to mind.

*The dragon flies and the phoenix dances*

Sentinel absorbs the ectypes pausing a moment assimilating the information of what transpired and of the memories uncovered, Intriguing, like the gods of Asgard, so can I become a like a god. First one requires power, second a display of power, and third, witnesses.

Also having been drawn to the surge Sentinel absorbs the other ectypes one at a time assimilating them and gaining nothing he wasn’t aware of before.

All Hail the Yellow Dragon Emperor." The cameraman kneels while still keeping the camera in focus. Mary turns around to face Sentinel.

The distant memory of praise and the hails before him play in his mind as Sentinel looks to Mary. With the flair of one who has commanded for centuries, he bows the most humble bow one with absolute power could as he began answering her first question, ”I am at your service Miss Marsh. I am pleased you are once again well. The crash and fire were ferocious indeed.”/ he says taking the time to emphasize her miraculous recovery behind his conspicuous concern. Trust: 94% 1d100 = 13

”I am Emperor Qin Zheng… Zheng Qin would be the order of surname in your culture.” Sentinel gently corrects himself. ”I am here in this desperate city for a calling. I have explored the world to be drawn here for a purpose. I can only hope to fulfill that calling.” Sentinel humbling says. Trust: 94% 1d100 = 34

” I am only passingly familiar with Legionaries who try in their own ways to make this city right. But no I came to be allied with the Cavaliers as you know them, but I know them as The Omegas. Correctly named for you might not also know has saved your city and world several times over. The one who leads them Mr. J…Brute, a young and determined hero. You might recognize him as the red four armed hulk." Sentinel boasts the accolades of the Omegas. Perhaps gaining them more support will garner them favor among the cities elite. Trust: 94% 1d100 = 75

”Powers? You have it in yourself to know. You are alive!.” Sentinel sweeps his hands before him motioning to Mary’s whole body. ”As your cameraman has praised, and if so should others too, I can do much more if you all will it to be so. Sentinel humbly offers bowing. Trust: 94% 1d100 = 72

I really kind of feel like I'm in the dark here, but I do trust Brute to know whats going on and give me the information we need.. Rook thinks to herself as Brute goes briefly over what they are going to be doing at the next location. Taking a peek around, the young heroine frowns a little, but then moves to mount up into the vehicle as indicated.

"Aerial recon, check." she replies, then looks to the Team Leader. "Anything in particular I should be looking for?" Rook then asks plainly. "I am uncertain on the exact situation, so any pre-mission intel would be appreciated. I'll keep my metal senses open as well, if you think that will be helpful. Unfortunately while I might fly like an eagle, I don't have the eyesight of one." the blonde woman adds. "Ooh there's an idea. Vision-enhancing Goggles. Is that something that can be swung?"

Tom nods. "Those optics would be nice, to be sure. Had a sweet package in my old armor -- thermal, infrared, telescopic, targeting, the whole nine yards. You should totally get some." his thoughts drift for a moment. Man, it'd be great to have the optics package out of my old armor. Heck, it'd be good to have the whole armor suit itself. Next chance we get at some downtime I'll have to ask about getting it back or maybe a local-source replacement.

He realizes he's drifting and shakes his head to bring himself back into the moment. "Yeah, and the other part too. What can you tell us about the Order's hideout? Me, this is only my second full day in Century Station so I'm still pretty much a tourist here."

"Looking that up now. I should probably do intel checks on the company owner as well if it is another company." she pondered glancing at Rampart then looked to Rook.

"We don't have much on the place yet. We can confirm the order uses both magic and tech. Anything that looks too perfect or out of place. Trust your instincts..but use reason. I'm looking up the place on Realty and other sites right now. Last few times I did score a floor plan like this." Wi-Fi responds.

"Keep an eye out for goggles. We can check the Armory at home later or get them from the CSPD sooner. Take a look if the APC has a set you can grab. I would not worry about returning them. Easily replaced. Police have the best stuff under the seats. If your lucky some thugs might have some too." Wi-Fi adds as they board, "I managed to keep five very pricey spider robots so enemy armouries are an option too." the woman adds a thumbs up.

WAINGROH
Date: Monday, March 23rd, 2043
Weather: Outside: Sunny, warm, bright (55 degrees Fahrenheit)
Time: 10:00-10:40 am

Sentinel absorbs his various ectypes and then addresses Mary Marsh, the reporter. Her face is unchanging as he speaks, absorbing his every word. Once he has finished, Mary turns to face the camera and says "And you've heard it here first, folks. Emperor Zing Chin may very well be a god on earth and has brought me back from a fiery death. He is teamed up with the Omegas, Century Station's most underrated team of Cavaliers. I don't know about you, viewer, but I'll be keeping an eye on them after this. This has been Mary Marsh. When danger strikes, I'll be there." The cameraman understands those last words as a sign-off as he puts the camera down 3 seconds later. Mary walks up to Sentinel and extends a hand for a shake. "I can't thank you enough for my life. I've gotta get back to the station, but you'll be hearing from me, Mister Emperor."

Wi-Fi begins plugging in the coordinates that the Eternal Soldier fed her over comms. Once overlaid with a map of Century Station, they pointed to a specific building. Using an aerial map program, she can see that the address is 3294 Jesse Ave in Waingroh. The building seems to be an abandoned office building. She checks the ownership records and the building belongs to an F.E. Ross.

Brute receives a response from CSPD dispatch. "Message received. Will send intel once we've got it." Brute checks to see if anyone needs medical attention and then tells the team to roll out. He misses a purposefully hidden reaction to the talk of medical attention from the new member of the Omegas, Thunder. The plan as laid out by their fearless leader is for one of Sentinel's ectypes to scout the grounds with Rook providing aerial support.

Rampart chops it up with Wi-Fi for a bit before heading into the APC himself. He goes over the dossiers and familiarizes himself with the enemy and friendly teams. Rook mentions the possibility of night vision goggles and both Rampart and Rook check the APC for them. Unfortunately, the APC did not come supplied.

The APC gets loaded up and you drive near the address given to you. The ride is unremarkable and traffic is surprisingly reasonable for this time of day. There isn't much nearby and the office building looks very rundown on the outside.

"I have an address and visual for us. I will attempt a floor plan. It is likely been modified internally but should be somewhat accurate. The place 3294 Jesse Ave in Waingroh. The building seems to be an abandoned and at one time was an office building." She pauses, "the ownership records and the building belongs to an F.E. Ross. Whether he or she is a member of/or is even is affiliated with the order is unknown. I will double check for any connection that is relevant. Sending data I get to field handhelds." she sends the data to all of the teams handheld units.

F.E.Ross sounded like a made up name, even if it was not it could be a lead for items and resources to help the Omegas. The last boost we had was the laser rifle and my spiders. if the government won't help us we need to help ourselves. They don't even pay us..reminds me I need to check that company we contracted to fix the D-Gun. she thought.

While silently disappointed that the APC lacked any enhanced vision goggles or whatnot, Rook realizes that not everything can be free, and shrugs it off. Listening in on the briefing carefully, the young woman makes a few mental notes. At the mention of heavy artillery though, she swallows hard, visibly nervous. At least I am immune to bullets.. hopefully that carries over to shrapnel..

Aaaand at the mention of Bug Demons, Rook pales somewhat. "Lets hope there are no bug demons." she replies firmly with a shudder of apprehension. "And definitely no dying. I'm tired of all the dying." she adds. As they arrive, she exits the APC with the others, taking a moment to stretch and pop her back a little then turns on her comm. "Testing comm-status." she chirps at it, looking to the others with a raised brow.

If the comm-check goes through fine, Rook takes to the air, heading up at as steep an angle as possible until perhaps a hundred feet above the location she is to surveil, then moves to fly across and around it in semi-random patterns, keeping an eye out below - not just on the building itself, but the adjacent streets and buildings as well.

Additional Perception rolls if/as needed (@24%)

”Ms. Mary, you are very welcome.” Zheng says smiling with a bow once more as Ms. Marsh departs with her camera crew. I wonder when the significance will hit her. Zheng thinks at the irony of religion. The birth of a religion begins twice with the name of Mary.

In thought Sentinel watched down the alley as the plumes of flames from the helicopter still rise into the sky. A pillar to the heavens. Zheng thinks looking skyward trying to remember more of the memories that had come to him.

Is that me? Was that me? It was like watching through a foggy window. Shapes that are recognizable but fuzzy. If only I could wipe away the dew that gathers on its surface. Zheng wonders remembering a feeling of power from the memory. The figure was deific in nature, like the Gods of Asgard. What would it take to become a God? Somehow steeping lore of the worlds. Legends come to life. The first and last real gods I have met. But they needed us. I am a mortal in comparison to their power and they needed us. Are we already gods? Compared to the populace, Brute is a god. Zheng considers the philosophical ramblings that were all to true.

Sentinel, Rook, you have your orders, scout and report back. The rest of you lock and load."

Sentinel stands there for some time being disturbed from his thoughts by an inhuman squeal. Looking over he sees his cats successfully chased down one of the rabbits and had one by the leg as it fought furiously to free itself and not quietly by any means. Oh. he thinks dismissing the cats to their homes. Sentinel walks over and picks up the wounded rabbit. ”Ah there my friend take care.” he says stroking its leg gingerly and healing it before dismissing the rabbits too to their homes. As they fade away from mind Sentinel looks around not seeing any of his team.

”Mr. Brute where are you? he shouts with his divine amplification. Not seeing or hearing a response he toggles the radio at his collar. "Mr. Brute, where did everyone get off too? I am still here after helping the citizens of the city.” Zheng calls over the radio.

Rampart pours over the dossier information as best he can during the ride in the APC. Man, this rogues gallery seems a bit high-powered for what's supposedly a minor-league super team... looks like they're more on the level of the goons the SLJ used to scrap with. Tom makes the quintessential 'not bad' face. "Impressive. We could've used you yesterday; that's better intel just right there than we got for the whole op."

When he gets his eyes on the building he makes a face. "Office building? This probably looked more like a bunker than an office building even when it was new -- which of course makes it practically scream 'evil villain lair' looking like it does now."

"Don't worry, I plan to live forever..." Rampart smirks as he steps out of the APC. "So far, so good." He creates a shimmering energy shield on his left arm, a flight disc under his feet, and a giant fist attached via wisps of energy to his right hand (-300 Force Field SDC). "Locked and loaded, chief -- who needs a battle buddy for the impending shenanigans?"

She then attaches the S.W.A.T. entry tool, extra clip and drag grenade to her utility belt. Moya steps out of the APC and takes a look around. She loads a clip into her M-161A and loads one into the chamber before she slings in across her back. Moya then readies her bow and notches an arrow. (Rolls Held over)

Spiderweb decides that being a bit more specific will not hurt, as these are teammates, "I have my own abilities and those of my magic spear. My own abilities include seeing the invisible, resisting heat and cold, creating webbing, and extruding a bony exoskeleton that increases my strength as well as acting as a weapon. My spear I can loan to others if needed, he can damage anything solid and return when thrown, increase most people's strength to be roughly that of a spider, let the bearer see in darkness, allow the bearer to speak any language, compel someone to speak the truth, and produce a force shield that can be used to defend the bearer or to capture a foe."

Nothing there should be secret, he has been around long enough that most of his abilities are publicly known...he is probably rumored to have more abilities than he really does.

"That is the idea I figure. The look and make of a building In a city of battling metahumans. I'd use a bunker as workplace too. A good lair too. easy to fortify and compartmentalize. Rampart, I'm a TK and directed force-user. A well-placed forcefield might be useful to slam a foe into." she offers while turning silver as a cracked and crinkled looking barrier covered her. Pulling out one of her twin pistols and checking the load outs selecting AP. Noting Moya with a bow Wi-Fi won't be the only practising archery.

She stepped out looking for signs of trouble, landmarks and other indicators. The area looked normal..for a metahuman town. It was a good guess some gang or another called this place home too.

Webs wrote: "Greetings, I am Spiderweb. Admittedly a fairly average superhero"

Brute scoffs, interrupting him. "Lies."

Rampart wrote:"Versatility's nothing to sneeze at -- I'd rather carry a Swiss Army knife than a machete any day."

"Webs' only weakness is his own doubt. He's never failed an assignment."

Rook wrote:"Lets hope there are no bug demons."

Brute smiles. I'm glad she's back. "I've fought more demons since then. Remind me to tell you sometime about Asgard."

Rook wrote:"And definitely no dying. I'm tired of all the dying."

Rampart wrote:"Don't worry, I plan to live forever... So far, so good."

Moya wrote:I’m a lot tougher than I look.

"That's the spirit." Brute smiles. Willpower is half the battle. With intel from Wi-Fi and a half-decent plan, we may actually win this one.

Suddenly, Brute hears a squawk over the radio, followed by Sentinel's voice.

Sentinel wrote:"Mr. Brute, where did everyone get off too? I am still here after helping the citizens of the city.”

Brute keys open his radio. "Zheng - you were supposed to be on the APC before we left, and you're supposed to be patrolling as we speak. Where ARE you?" A half beat, and Brute dismisses it. "Never mind. I'm sending you our coordinates, get here ASAP." Brute sends the building coordinates to Zheng, and then turns to Rook.

"Okay - it's you and I scouting, then. The rest of you stay put, we'll radio in if there's trouble, or report back if not."

Brute will then commence a high-speed reconnaissance of the building's perimeter, and the 1-block radius as well, his antennae supplementing his other enhanced senses to provide a fuller view of the situation.

WAINGROH
Date: Monday, March 23rd, 2043
Weather: Outside: Sunny, warm, bright (55 degrees Fahrenheit)
Time: 10:40-11:00 am

Wi-Fi looks into F.E. Ross and finds the following:
  • Frederick Emil Ross was a scientist from the suburbs of Ultrapolis.
  • He has been missing for years.
  • He would be 57 years old now.
  • Well liked in his community.

The blueprints are dated 2013 and show a two story office building complete with many offices on each floor and two bathrooms per floor. Given that it's over 30 years old, there may be some changes. Wi-Fi follows up with a police network hack to find any useful data. Nothing good. The police station closest by would be Brisby Flats-Waingroh District-Waingroh North. Nothing in their systems about this place.

Rook does her surveillance sweep and doesn't see anything out of the ordinary. Just a normal office building. Not much in the way of neighboring buildings and essentially no traffic on the surrounding streets. Perfect for a secluded headquarters. The roof looks like it hasn't been cleaned in forever.

Wi-Fi, Rampart and Thunder get themselves ready for battle at Brute's orders while Spiderweb gives great detail about his particular powerset.

Brute does a highspeed run around the perimeter of the building as well as the surrounding block. When he runs the building, he notices a bit of a high temperature along the south facing wall. He stops to check it out and finds a group of heavy duty power cables going from a hole in the side of the building into the ground two feet out from the building. The rest of the block seems completely normal. No suspicious characters, no weird features of the neighborhood, nothing. There's the entrance to the office building and an emergency exit in the back, windows all around that are completely covered in dust internally and externally making it impossible to see in.

Sentinel finishes up with his newly resurrected friend and dashes to the given coordinates at super speed. He comes to a halt next to the APC just as Brute finishes his sweep.

What are you doing?
Let the GAMES begin.

Brute smiles. I'm glad she's back. "I've fought more demons since then. Remind me to tell you sometime about Asgard."

"Asgard... like the home of Odin and Thor?" Rook asks Brute, raising a brow a little. "Or like.. some guy named Asgard? Never mind, you can explain it later.. I might get distracted otherwise." the blonde replies, wrinkling her nose a bit then offering a half-grin.

-----

After doing her initial flyby, she activates her comm to the rest of the team - "Nothing up here that I can see.. its very, very quiet though. No traffic, foot or vehicle for at least a block. The roof is a dump, too. I suppose its possible that something is being hidden up here though. Want me to take a closer look?" Rook is careful not to linger too long in once place, keeping more of a wide spiral; staying still can make you a great target, was one of the things she was taught. And being a great target is a way to get dead.

Rook wrote:"Nothing up here that I can see.. its very, very quiet though. No traffic, foot or vehicle for at least a block. The roof is a dump, too. I suppose its possible that something is being hidden up here though. Want me to take a closer look?"

Brute replies via radio, "Negative, return here." They're definitely focusing on the 'secret' part of 'secret hide out'.

"Okay, team. I think our best bet is to cut the power before making our entrance... Of course, that leaves us without power as well, but ideally it'll kill their surveillance systems as well. I'd be shocked if this place doesn't have a backup generator, but it won't be able to power everything. We have two obvious entrances, and we can assume they're trapped, so let's think outside the box."

He turns to Wi-Fi, "Clarica, anything to add?"

Brute thinks about their prior encounter with the Order - how they had Uber on the ropes but Vulcan's fire nearly killed him. We could be walking in to our deaths here... ideally, we hurt Uber badly enough that he and Vulcan left Century station, and we only have Ironvein and others to contend with... which I hope is the case because I don't have a plan to beat Vulcan.

"All right team, we're walking into a trap. Ideas, thoughts, suggestions... Go."

There may be better decoys, such as Sentinel's ectypes or the robot spiders, but he will not volunteer someone else for a potentially dangerous mission.

Moya watches as Brute returns from his recon trip. She listens to his report and thought on what Intel has been gathered. Getting a bit excited as Spiderweb mentions a decoy, she looks around and makes a slight smile.

A power problem? Decoys to throw at the trap? That sounds like a problem I could help out with. Taking out the power is no problem but being a decoy, how could I do that? Hmmm. Let me think.

"Hey boss! How about this idea. I have telepathic control over electricity. That combined with my speed, I could wreck some havoc to their surveillance system and then when we needed I could cut all the power. Then as we approach only turn back on the lights and other things we need as we go. If any of them should get close, enough then I'll give them a grenade or two. "

Moya looks up at Brute as she offers her suggestion of a decoy. Her smile fading to her resting stoic look. She places her hand upon her right hip as she speaks. The rest of her body language says don't mess with me. Her eyes focused. Moya shifts most of her weight to her left leg by the time she finishes. Her head cocked to the side as she waits for his response.

He turns to Wi-Fi, "Clarica, anything to add?"

Cutting power should be done by one of the Ectypes so they can see him leave the scene. It might get them to go back to a lower security setting. we need to be sure to coordinate with Eternal soldier and the Utras. I'd hate to trap one of our allies if they are here. they did mention raiding here too didn't they?" she answers Brute. Good plan, a hit and run. she thinks.

"Moya, A good thought I was thinking to override and use their surveillance. Finding and lock the order down in there own was going to be my idea. Your reactivate as we go plan fits well. lock it all down, hack reactivate as we sweep." she nods.

Barney says, "When you say trap the first thing I think is 'Decoy', something to spring the trap so that we can turn the tables. I might be able to build something using my webbing, if no one has a better suggestion."

"Not a bad idea. a fake omega..as long as it is not a cardboard standee with audio chips playing our theme music...." she added, "Even if your web man draws one shot it will have done its job." she nods, "If we don't use that idea now, Webs, get Sentinel and the techies on that at home. Could carry a few spare omega suits too."

Brute takes in all the suggestions.

"All right, looks like we have a plan. Wi-Fi - before we go in, see if you can't hack a connection to their surveillance. Moya will cut the power before we enter, and turn it on periodically as we need it. When she does, Webs will deploy his web-decoy to block surveillance, or create distractions to lead the enemy off. Rampart will use his forcefields strategically to protect our flanks and Sentinel, Moya and I will spearhead the infiltration, and provide defense for Webs, Wi-Fi, Rook, and Rampart - who will control the enemy as much as possible. In the meantime, we work our way to the center, and shut the whole thing down. Rook - The main guy here is a dude named Ironvein - I dunno if your metal powers will work on him, but if they do... that'd be nice."

Brute looks at his team. It's now or never.

"Clarica, establish your connection. Once you give word, Moya cuts the power and we enter. Let's do this."

With any luck she thinks Wi-Fi might find out who was in the base and where they were. Better intell would save wondering around. Once she did so and successfully did so. she speaks up.

Barney considers how to create his decoy, he can not just use webbing, he needs something to give it form. He takes off his Omega Suit and armors himself in his bone form. It would help to have something to act as bones for the model, but he can not create lasting bone structures outside his body. He looks around for something to use. He also comments to Wi-Fi, "If one of your robo-spiders would like to run the decoy, it would work better. I would have to play puppeteer otherwise...not something I am particularly apt at, and the strings are going to be visible from the right angle."

"Provided I get a good visual we may not need to get a decoy. I like that idea and I do have a thought we can get Sentinel on when we get home. A light exoskeleton to wear under the omega suit." she answered.

"I have an idea better than strings. We can put your decoy in the security images. that way they won't be catchable. All I need is some images to use. All that time in AV club is finally paying off. I can superimpose our 'distraction' in anywhere we want. I am not sure how well the little ones here are able to hide or dodge in a place without floor plans. Once we get one I can definitely have them help with that." she typed up some commands. This had to be good, she was going to be good.

Intent to place the Omega suit image in camera images in the unoccupied area of the base.

Rampart listens as Brute outlines his plan. Sounds as solid as it can be, I guess, given that no battle plan survives direct contact with the enemy. He gives Brute a thumbs-up (echoed by his glowing fist) and nods. "Sounds dangerously like a plan, boss. If the plan goes sideways, though, all you squishy types duck behind me. Assuming any of you ARE the squishy type of course..." he adds with a smirk.

He takes up position and gets ready to act, keeping his flight disc sized down to the bare minimum needed and only a couple of inches above the ground/floor.

A hundred and a thousand years ago I was an Emperor. I call myself one still, but I have no Empire to rule. Zheng recalls, Fear was the rule by which control was measured. Order was maintained by strict decree. My Magistrates saw to that. They were not worshiped… I was not worshipped.

Zheng looks around at the team assembled examining the new faces. The interaction with the reporters had left him feeling powerful. He has not felt this exhilarated in centuries. These few busy days, some of which were in an interdimensional time stream, something has been waking inside. The confusion of not knowing why he was changing left him feeling hallow, lost, and uncertain. But now he felt a purpose, at least for the moment.

Brute speeds to a stop returning Zhengs thoughts to the situation at hand. An old building was before them. Listening to the exchange of plans Brute as efficient as he has been lays out a course of action for the team. Cut the power and infiltrate.

Brute wrote: "Clarica, establish your connection. Once you give word, Moya cuts the power and we enter. Let's do this."

”Mr. Brute, I thought we were not on first name basis in the field?” Sentinel says with amusement at Mr. Jacksons slip up. ”Nonetheless it sounds like an adequate plan since we don’t know anymore until we are inside. You look a little bruised. Here let me help you.” Sentinel offers aid to Brute.

An ectype emerges and begins chanting and healing Brute.

WAINGROH
Date: Monday, March 23rd, 2043
Weather: Outside: Sunny, warm, bright (55 degrees Fahrenheit)
Time: 11:00-11:05 am

Wi-Fi logs into her Mobile Wireless and Data Access Point System and attempts to connect with the surveillance system in the office building. Success! The screen is compartmentalized into many different subscreens. Tapping on one brings up a fullscreen image. She can see the surroundings of the building in four different directions, including the Omegas and their APC parked out front. More screens she is able to see include a view from the back of a man working on something in a lab, a particularly grisly meat locker (?), a man in a tattered spacesuit staring straight into the camera, a young teen writing in a book, a large room lit by torches from multiple angles, the inside of an office building from many different angles.

Moya gets close to the power line as pointed out by Brute. Connecting to it, she wills it to turn off. Wi-Fi's connection to the surveillance is severed. The Omegas swarm into the office building in formation. It's dark but Wi-Fi's spider-bots provide light, flanking the team. Spiderweb's decoy doesn't have a chance to be useful as the Omegas find that with the light from the Spiderbots, there is no need to turn the power back on.

The inside is unsurprisingly office-like. Papers that haven't been touched for years, some dust, some cobwebs.

He is surprised it did not come on already, normally it goes on as soon as the power goes out. Could our electrokinetic have shut them all down? The place is certainly not up to safety standards otherwise.

He glances around, hopefully not blinded by the lighting, and sees what he can see.

"Noted, Ironvien does not have a back-up or left it off intentionally. I don't buy him not installing back up power." she answered, "As it goes I saw four at least. one in a tattered space suit, one working in a lab, a meat locker I think and a young teen. Also saw one large room with torches." she pauses.

"My Guess is the space suit is Deathstar, Zombar and the teen is likely Dark Nimbus or Hungry Ghost at the very least. Ironvien is expected. this is his house. Telling by the name of the building owner now that I actually use my brain." she grumbled quietly about needing to reread the table of elements better.

"Lets be careful and see if we can't use the lights to ambush the enemy..I have flash and audio packs on me. I would probably do the same if we had raiders at our HQ." the mutant thinks aloud. Once done with anything needing hands drew arms.
