Keiko gives Vort a wink and turns to address Erebos, "You should know what we bring to the table. Unless time played with your mind...oh...that might have been my fault. Time just never seems to work right around me." Keiko gives a playful smile. Keiko is very away how unwelcome her abilities are here in Splynn.[/quote]Keiko wrote:Keiko finishes reading the pitch statement, and smiles back at Vort. "That's a hell of a pitch. Sounds like the jobs will be fun. If we can get interest in it. I don't see why you wouldn't. Lots of people out there who want to fix things or keep some deniability." Keiko presses her fingers together before looking at Vort over top of them, "I would say I would like to to be fully involved. We have seen each other in varying capacities before, so we know what we can do. So I am willing to fully commit to this endeavor for an even split of the rewards."
Érebos raises one eyebrow at the Felinoid. "I know what you bring - but I haven't seen her since she was a wee little wyrmling," he says to Keiko while tipping his head toward Ven.
Truth be told, she wasn't that little... and undoubtedly, hatchlings tend to come with similar skill sets, but surely there are some variations in ability and skill...
"My dear Ven - not only did I suspect as much, I'm counting on it!" he says, returning the sly wink.Venenifer wrote:She's brought back from her thoughts as the Raksasha and large mortal move towards their own table, she shakes her head and looks back toward Vortigern. "Yes, I think we'll be able to have a much better time than when we all first met." She says with a sly smile, tilting her head, letting her hair roll to her right shoulder. She looks over the pitch with a nod.
"Well, color me interested, Vortigern." She says with fanciful smile before looking to Keiko. "Oh, absolutely. I've no problems with, ahhem, spreading my wings for the cause." She looks back to Vort and Erebos with a narrowed set of eyes and a continued sly smile before adding, "I've grown considerably since our last encounter, and in more ways than one." She adds as the concierge enters to announce the departure, she'll take her drink and stand.
Observation deck... I hope it's not in the direct sunlight... he thinks while taking a deep breath, looking at Vort, and shrugging.Venenifer wrote:"Come, walk with me to the observation deck, we must find a good view. And we mustn't miss the skyline departure, and we've all night to iron things out." She finishes and takes Keiko's arm, beckoning the two men to follow her to the Observation Deck.
She'll look to the concierge with a smile that never leaves the dragoness's face, "Tell me, good man, where could our group of four find the best spot on the Observation Deck?" She asks playfully. [Charm/Impress 90%]: Invalid dice code!]
Ahh, yes... "down" to it. It's been some time; I had forgotten. Been away a bit too long, methinks.Dodsrike wrote:Skyborne Excursions, Splynn

The demon's companion lets out a deep basso laugh at something the raksasha said, then says in a deep basso voice "Come let us go find a place on the Observation Deck" They head out the door and out of sight.
The man smiles at Venenifer, "There are no bad places on the Observation Deck. You will understand when you get down to it. I would imagine this close to the beginning of things, it will be filling up however, so you may wish to make your way down to it."Venenifer wrote:She'll look to the concierge with a smile that never leaves the dragoness's face, "Tell me, good man, where could our group of four find the best spot on the Observation Deck?" The Shadow Mage manages a slight smile, though he's now aware the Observation Deck is "down" rather than "up". "Now, Keiko - you know if for some reason I can't, I'll just have to make a few..." he says with an amused look on his face.Keiko wrote:Keiko smiles as Ven takes her arm. "Of course. We must see the city as we depart."
Keiko's smile grows as she senses Erebos discomfort in the sun. "Have no fear my friend. I believe the sun is above us and the observation deck is below us. I have full faith you'll be able to find a shadow or two." Keiko, with brandy and Ven in hand, will make her way down to the observation deck. Looking to find a good spot for the four of them to sit...or stand...depending on the deck.
"My... peculiar arcane specialty... is rather negatively affected by bright and direct light," he explains cryptically to the Dragoness as coughs a bit uncomfortably. When Ven mentions the smoke: "Indeed - 'twas my first impression of you. A rather good impression, I might add..." he says with a wink.Venenifer wrote:Hearing Keiko mention Erebos's distaste for the sunlight, she laughs, covering her mouth with her hand and nodding. "I could fill the whole deck with a nice black smoke." She says playfully towards Erebos before beckoning him and Vortigern to follow her and Keiko down to the Observation Deck.
Érebos is intrigued, but - as one who is quite proficient in Demongogian himself - hears Sir Vortigern out.Vortigern wrote:Vortigern seems bemused and slow to react yet eventually draws himself up to follow after the ladies towards the Observation deck. His eyes follow the movements of the Rakshasa and he hesitates a moment before turning and heading over to stand nearby the Demon on the deck. He hooks his thumbs into his belt and stands so as to be looking away from the Demon, as if enjoying the view, as he speaks. (Demogogian)"It has been some time since I've met one of your People without Summoning one first. Though of course that might be less true than I might assume with your penchant for wearing faces. Regardless I've always found you to be engaging conversationalists. Though regrettably the battle for Center did put per force your people and I on opposite sides. An unfortunate affair for us all. I regret stumbling into it. Perhaps you might recognize me? I was among those who directly confronted and defeated General Halthag. I am Vortigern Taerea." He speaks slowly, softly. Then pauses as he continues to let the view serve as pretext for his actions, and his listener decide how they want to react. A few seconds later he turns to face the Rakshasa and gently continues. "It is my hope that such past strife can remain in the past where it belongs. My allies and I are assembling a new enterprise. Here in Atlantis. A contracting service for handling problems or gathering intelligence in particular of a dimensional nature. We have a variety of competencies that make us confident of being able to fulfill contracts in our chosen niche, as select as it may be. And I hope my deeds may speak for themselves in giving you assurance that I can overcome opposition and will complete tasks despite all. Yet there I bear no grudge for the past. We'll be opening for initial contracts soon. If there is anything we can help you, or any allies, with I would be gratified if you would consider us. If you do not object to me as a provider of services, I will not object to you as a client." he says, giving a faint smile and nod.
I'm not sure I'd make such a bold approach... then again, he's comfortable with those types, and likely knows more about them than their own species... thinks the Shadow mage as he listens to Vortigern speak.
Ever paranoid and watchful, he attempts to discreetly observe the security and/or identify threats, as well as potential prospects, on the Observation Deck where they all stand.
