In January I'll be auditing the supporter roles and updating the supporter admin thread. Anniversaries which have been overlooked the last few months will be doled out at the conclusion of this audit.

In January I'll be running a one-shot Rifts adventure on Roll20.
I want to limit EU member participation to a maximum of 2 players as this is intended to introduce players new to either Rifts or Palladium to the game. Scheduled date is TBD, but I'll be promoting it on Discord on the appropriate channels there. Here's a sneak preview via the game's landing page:

We have 51 supporters total. A new dimension/setting will open on EU (likely Robotech) when we reach 55. I'll be doling out anniversary rewards and conducting lotteries shortly.
As I no longer have access to past records of Patronage, I'm hereby switching Supporter Anniversary rewards on EU to being a January event. So EVERYBODY who's a supporter on EU is receiving their anniversary reward NOW. Happy New Year!

Roll20 players, if you're a supporter and would like to discuss the Rifts: Humble Origins campaign, we'll be meeting on Discord tonight around 7pm CST to discuss the campaign, and its relaunch.

The second Saturday of each month is the scheduled night for the game. Same standard as always: 4 players minimum for a viable session otherwise it's cancelled & the game goes up to poll.

Thanks to Chris Milan for returning as a supporter! That brings us to 60 supporters total! Time to open up a new dimension/game setting on EU!
Chris, get on Discord so you can be properly showered with praise & recognition!
Next setting opens up at 70 supporters, so we've got a long haul ahead before we return to that milestone, but by providing quality content and showing new and old players alike the value of the community, I know we'll get there eventually.
I'll get a poll up in Community Chat on Discord to find out which setting the community wants to open up next!

New Play-by-post Games on EU

Beyond the Supernatural: John/Consumer has stepped up to DM this setting. It will be a Beyond the Supernatural game set in the 1920's, nestled in the foothills and hollers of the Appalachian mountains, likely in the Tennessee Valley. There the players will deal with ancient evils buried in the earth. Three players have already committed to this game, with room for 3 more.

Dead Reign: The End is Now: James/The Governor has stepped up to DM this setting. It will be a Dead Reign game set in today's America, starting in The Big Easy, New Orleans. Four players have already committed to this game, with room for 2 more. This game is due to launch in March!

Robotech: Tiree has stepped up to DM this setting. The Campaign starts some time between the Macross and Masters Sagas. While the details remain to be hammered out between Tiree and interested players, this fan-favorite setting is sure to blow up in popularity once Tiree is finished putting the polish on things.

Heroes Unlimited: Galactic: After being on hiatus for a year, this game still has 3 committed players, and is waiting for at least one more player to commit before it can re-launch. This is a gritty, sci-fi setting set in the Heroes Unlimited Universe where the protagonists are what's left of the Arismal race.

After the Bomb: This game setting was just unlocked and narrowly beat out Nightbane to become the next open dimension as the community got its 60th supporter. A Dimension Master (DM) is needed, and lots of work will need to be done to get this setting up and running.

Games on Roll20

Rifts: Humble Origins is the currently active Roll20 campaign for supporters of the community. This is a gritty campaign played mostly inside the walls of Merctown where our protagonists are a group of street urchins trying to make their way up the urban crime food chain to prominence within the Merctown Black Market syndicate. In the future, additional campaigns will open/resume as time permits.

One-Shots are held the second Friday of each month, are open to the public, and are a fun way to both expose new players to Palladium's content and to our community. I currently run either Dead Reign or Rifts for these One-Shots. Robotech and Beyond the Supernatural Roll20 games are in development as well, but if you're a supporter, I'd like your feedback as to whether or not to make these campaigns, or as one-shots. Reply and let me know.

Surprise turn of events during the night's Roll20 Campaign Decisionathon!
Beyond the Supernatural & *two* different iterations of Heroes Unlimited made a strong showing, but in the final decision Heroes Unlimited Galactic: Resurrection won the polling for our 3rd Saturday of each month campaign slot.

We're changing how we're handling access to the Roll20 campaigns.

Augur's Roll20 Campaigns

Free to play, but only supporters get to make their own characters

This means that *anyone* can join in a campaign session, but only supporters have the privilege of creating their own character. Those who aren't supporters will have to use one of the available pre-gen characters. Also, as we cap sessions at eight players, if there's ever more players than slots (this almost never happens), supporters get priority access.

EUCON is an opportunity for RPG enthusiasts to come together, celebrate their favorite hobby, and have fun together for a few days online. This convention has been created by our online community to benefit not only folks in our community, but any RPG enthusiast who wants to take part.

Registration is now live...and FREE! In addition to registering in order to play/participate, you can also request to be a GM if you want to hold a scheduled event. The sooner folks register en masse, the easier it will be to create, plan, and schedule events.

I'm doing the lion's share of the set-up work. DMing will require a discussion with me about your vision for the dimension/campaign, and some of the set-up issues that can go with such. After that, it's just a matter of promoting the campaign, drawing in players, and putting up a weekly GM post.

Tiree, our resident IT guru, has requested that EVERYONE (and that means every ACCOUNT) purge as much of their private messages as is possible. Don't forget your "Sent messages" folders when purging old messages.

Hopefully, this will reduce the size of the database significantly enough that some of our server issues (time-outs, etc) will get cleared-up.

In case you were making productive use of your life recently instead of spending it on Hangouts, there's been a bit of a shake-up.

Bureaucratic cliquish faux democracy is dead. Long live the benevolent & self-interested autocracy!

Seriously though, I'm shitcanning a lot of the bureaucracy and trying to see where and how we can streamline things to make this all easier for new players to get into. Full disclosure: some of you veterans will fully grasp that much of what I might aim in the future to tear down was of my own devising. SMH Being exposed to a system like AGE has really changed the way I look at things, and while we certainly cannot make Palladium games in any way comparable to the simplicity and consistency of such a system, I do think we can improve in making it more accessible and fun.

Anyway, I'm back (not that I ever fucking left) with an active hand managing things. See you around the board. As always, I'm most easily reached via Discord.

If you find a character of yours on the list which SHOULD show as (Inactive) cuz you've paid for it to be EP inactivated, post a reply to this announcement.

80-Supporter Milestone Rewards
Our last successful Milestone achievement was at 70 supporters. We're currently sitting at 66 total supporters. (Numbers always fluctuate due to IRL.) At 80 supporters I'm committed to opening up a new game setting for play on EU, but it's a big ask from where we are now (and times are kinda tough) so I'd like to know what your ideas might be to sweeten the pot!
