Dice Tester & Syntax
The system has live test function that outlines all the different variables and gives you the opportunity to play around with the options. This can let you get familiar with the roller and play with formatting options that work for you. Although your GM may have a preference for how your rolls should appear as well.

Making Rolls in a Post
Dice rolls are made by selecting the "Dice rolls" tab just below the post editor. Enter your roll notation where indicated and press "Roll the Dice". Each post can have up to 100 die rolls as needed. You may place the roll inline, put it on an OOC tag, or leave it appended to the post like an attachment (see blow).

Inline:
Paul throws a punch at the bawdy sailor Punch: 1d20+8: [16]+8 = 24 | Punch Damage: 1d6: [6] = 6 and hits home!

Step 1
A) Start a new topic or reply to a post
B) Select the "Dice rolls" tab
C) Enter roll notation
D) Hit "Roll the dice"
E) Repeat for any additional dice rolls (such as a Wild Die)

Step 2
A) Press the "Place Inline" button to put the dice roll in your post
B) Repeat for any additional rolls
C) Press "Submit" to view the result

Step 3
A) View the result and contemplate spending EP

Sensory Equipment 90% (merged) / 1d100 (Perception & Sensory info from EBA sensors vs. alleged dragon): [26] = 26

Jez looks up to perceive this giant, flying, reptile that everyone is looking up at. She checks her HUD for results regarding the aerial curiosity. What the frak is that thing? (Jez has no experience with such beasts, nor any useful lore.) She notices Analoy seems to be confident and standing her ground, so Jez steps closer to Analoy. I don't know what this is or what to do, but Annie seems to, so let's hold off on barking orders and just remain calm. She says audibly to Analoy, "You sure about this, Annie? By the way, what is that?" She again checks her HUD for info from the suit's IFF & targeting computer and advanced sensors. Just in case, she exposes her left fist as she merges her right with her NE-95.

Intentions: If the dragon is aggressive, herill fight her way to the TR, firing or punch as needed. She will sacrifice one action to merge with the TR once she reaches it. Dodges are a higher priority than strikes.[/ooc]

interesting things to point out with the die roller and code for those who like to write combat posts on something "Other than in their browser".

When a die roll is used, the text you place in the die roller such as: punch 1d20+5 will overwrite the language within the [roll] tag of your post.

Using the above roll, and let's call it Roll#1. I could type the following out as my post:

Paul punches Lloyd in the face [roll=1]1d100[/roll]

It would show up as the following:

Paul punches Lloyd in the face punch 1d20+5 [3]+5 = 8

Advanced Die Rolling Techniques
A slight modification has been made to the die roller (Thank you Draggor/Ross), for an advanced die roller technique.

Die Roller Information: The following button will send you to a page that will go over all the die roller functions.

Die Roll Button: A new button has appeared, it's in the shape of a six sided die with six pips. This button creates the roll tag for players to put the die rolls within the roller. This is similar to how the Dice Tag was used in the old roller

Roll all dice within post button: The major achievement is rolling all the dice within the post. This feature will allow you to roll any die roll that has not been rolled all at one time. Note: It is only available when the post is being edited

Give Me The Skinny! How Does This Work?

STEPS

Write your post
Use the die roll button (shown above), to place all the die rolls within your post.
Submit your post! Note: This will not roll any dice yet!
Edit your post
Navigate to the Die Roller, and Click the "Roll all dice within post" button
Submit your post!

It's a bit more complex, but less time consuming than rolling each die roll individually. This feature does not support adding text within the rolled dice. Text within the dice is still available on an individual die rolling as shown at the top of this thread. But it will allow folks to use their "Post Starters" again. Such as the one shown below:
