Servo's Image Uploads

A Brief Guide to Using Images for Items on EU

The following presumes some small measure of familiarity with image editing.
Image Submitter Instructions

1. Crop the image to remove any extraneous background--this makes the item the focus of the image.
2. Delete the background surrounding the item.
3. Save the image as a 24-bit png file. (This allows the background to be transparent so that the image looks good--and is only of the item--no matter which template or browser the player is using to view the website.)
4. Make sure the item fits the size requirements listed here.
5. Upload this image to the Image Submission thread.

Image Contributer Instructions

1. Download the submitted item.
2. Upload it to the image site. Put the poster's name in the description ("Submitted by __")
3. Delete the photo from the original post and instead include a link to the new linked image and show it within an image tag.

If you contribute 8 pictures for canonical gear then you will be nominated for 1 EP. Check the image repository before you get to work on images! Duplicates are of zero value, and will earn you nothing!

Note: Duplicate images are not desired & images that do not represent items which are already canonical are not desired.

I know myself I would like to see the following on some:

No Shadows
Images Rotated so longest dimension is horizontal
Resized to fit the standards
All Weapons, facing to the right (handles on left, business end on the right)
As close to profile or front, as possible

V-81R Volcano Rifle

This is the same basic weapon as the V-81 Volcano Mark-I Plasma Discharger found on p.60 of Rifts: Dimension Book 3 - Phase World Sourcebook, only in rifle configuration and is assigned to Warlock Marines using Warlock Combat Armor as listed on p.65 of Rifts: Dimension Book 3 - Phase World Sourcebook.

Giran's Sword -- unique(?) item

The Phase World character Oradro claimed this sword after a battle with the FWC traitor Giran. While magical in the sense that it glows green and is indestructible, Giran was able to convince others that it had more abilities/was more powerful than it really was. When Oradro sacrificed himself so that the Galactic Adventurers could claim the water relic he passed it on to Chef Icky, its present wielder.

Demon Skull Axe -- unique item recovered by Chef Icky during the demonic invasion of Center.

This axe appears to have a handle of metal and a blade made of stone carved in to the face of a demon. Glowing red letters (not any trade language) are engraved into the axe blade. The weapon itself exudes a magical aura, and while not evil, those sensitive to psychic auras get a sense of hunger (but not sentience) from the weapon. The axe gives off a pleasant smokey meaty odor. In battle, the weapon is unwieldy and when it strikes flesh, a murmur of satisfaction is heard (can be heard by those within 10' - Horror Factor: 9)
