The Spook Squad leaves the Briar Room, tickets in hand. Two weeks still remain before the train departs. Time for final projects and planning on how to arrive in Manistique.

((Detail any preparations and how you plan to arrive)).

Perception [51%]: 1d100: [69] = 69 [+15% involving Electronics or Machines]
JiC D20: 1d20: [4] = 4
JiC D100: 1d100: [68] = 68
Telemechanics [100%]: 1d100: [82] = 82

Conditions: Telemechanics (0 ISP, Constant, 5ft, 100%), Mind-block Auto-Defense (0 ISP, Automatic), Sense Supernatural Evil & Magic Energy (1900ft if using magical or psionic powers, 900ft if NOT using powers), Radiate Nature [Calm] (100ft to psychics, 12ft to non-psychics), Roadrunner Power Armor (135/135 MB), Sixth Sense (Cannot be surprised by a sneak attack), See the Invisible (240', 40.00 Min)

ISP: 221/231 ISP

Lahz walks out of the Briar room to find Wayne having snack/lunchtime and laughs. He then heads down to the car, though as he proceeds (assuming the cooler thing isn't too huge), the Psi-Tech examines it using Telemechanics (0 ISP) in the Elevator. He is looking to see how the thing is powered, whether it has any transmitters or has any recording devices (because, Brewster could well be spying, and anything taken from there could be a source), or gives off noticeable that could be used to track it (powers below), **If this is the same type of thing they are likely using to move the Parasites-o-Death, then it may give us an idea what we should be looking for on the Train.**

Telemechanics (0 ISP, 5ft)
Machine & Electrical Diagnosis (6 ISP, Touch, 20.00 Min) -- Need to make sure it is functioning properly as well, just in case we have to rely on this thing
Object Read (6 ISP, Touch, Impressions: 76%: 1d100: [22] = 22 // Images 68%: 1d100: [47] = 47 // Present: 58%: 1d100: [63] = 63 )
Electrical Engineer 93%: 1d100: [85] = 85
Mechanical Engineering 93%: 1d100: [56] = 56

If there are no listening/monitoring devices, Lahz will wait until they are in the car, "I feel like Pizza, anyone else? ... Ronan? Would you be so kind as to keep an eye out for tails? We got complacent a couple weeks ago and apparently the CS were following us around town, so just ... eyes open. Otherwise ... I think next we go see this Ee'sha -the-psychic-who-saw-the-vision out at 448 Fountain Rd? Does that work for you guys?? ..."

...

As they drive, Lahz ponders next steps, "If we took a train from Lazlo to Manistique first ... that would give us a tiny bit of familiarity with layout and stuff before we head back on the trip from Manistique to Lazlo on the train that has the actual shipment. We could head up to Lazlo, the Droids can park and be ready to pick us up using that as our staging location? Should we even bother bringing the Deck-Transport up there or just Rift to Lazlo? ... I guess the nice thing if we have the ship up there is that we have a secure place to prep. If we just rift up, we have to like ... plan from a Hotel."

"I'm stuffed, but I could use a beverage. You should really try this dim sum next time. Absolutely transcendent."

Wayne heads with Lahz to go see a woman about a vision. After being filled in about the mission, he nods his acceptance. "Life on earth ending danger. 11 million credits. Sounds like us. And don't count out a good hotel. The thread count on those sheets? Mmm..." Wayne leaves the planning up to the senior members of the team and when they arrive to the pizza place, orders a lemon-lime beverage.

Vheld’s mouth curls in distaste at the mention of food. ”I’ll pass. But the psychic is a good idea. Clairvoyance is notoriously unreliable, but maybe we’ll get lucky. I picked up some new lore from the guild- given a few weeks to study, I’ll be able to manage the job myself next time.”

The next day, Vheld will leave the logistics and planning to Lahz, and once again immerse himself in his studies.

Ronan leaves with the group and nods along. "Sure thing. And what is this Pizza? Sounds good but not something the fleet has." Ronan remarks to Lahz. "And you can talk to the psychic, its a good idea I guess. I just don't trust most mental types, present company excluded." Ronan states.

Ronan shrugs. "If it's all the same, I'd rather have the vic with us versus having to rely on what is available there." Ronan states. "Gives us a stage to prep from."
"If video transmissions can transmit through a rift. Maybe we can attach a camera to the container and catch an image of it hurtling into the sun before closing the Rift. I could grab a camera while you grab pizza, seeing as I have no use for food."
Ronan looks to the borg with a nod. Hmm, not a bad idea. "I like that idea actually, drop it in a high enough orbit that the camera doesn't get melted away immediately so we get some stills. Let the local star take care of the rest." Ronan looks around the Merctown street. "Absolutely flabbergasts me that a planet like this exists without actual space flight." Ronan muses aloud.

Lahz bids Vheld a polite goodbye as the fellow heads back to the Haunt to study.

Maybe we can attach a camera to the container and catch an image of it hurtling into the sun before closing the Rift. I could grab a camera while you grab pizza, seeing as I have no use for food."
The Psi-Tech ponders the new guy weighing the relative lack of experience it indicates carefully, **Brewster did not ask for an empty case back as proof of completion. The case was originally offered as a method of transporting before I offered that the Spooks could destroy it. Then he asked for video footage of the process as his proof ... I am not sure this guy listens to things ... as for the video ...**

Lahz refrains from rubbing his temples and sighing, **It feels like the relative pull of gravity from the Sun, is going to be a difficult thing to calculate and compensate for by Vheld who has never been there, so asking him to drop in at a solar orbit high enough to avoid a camera being melted so that you can have a nice video might be a big ask ... Space is damn cold but the Sun is still managing to transmit craploads of light and heat through it to this little ball of rock [Earth] several million miles away ... But, I get it. Probably not dealing with engineering or astrophysics specialists ... Ronan just likes to make things go boom, and up until an hour or two ago, Gaunt thought he was a force of nature. Compensating for a visual image for video recording when in proximity to a Star? ... **

"Uhmmmm ... sure maybe. Lets put a pin in that."

**In the meantime, do we try and fabricate a duplicate fake cryo-transport, and hire a group of random Mercs in Manistique to sit in Brewster's train seats with our Fake cargo?? ... We'll be going through Lazlo the first direction ... I can find an actual address for delivery. Send em some damn cookies, who cares? ... We could find a decoy-Borg, and a couple others ...**

Other Purchases:
From NG -- [4] Robot Tarp -- A massive, camouflage tarp that can be draped over a giant robot or vehicle like a giant blanket. It can keep the vehicle from the rain, snow, and dust, as well as help to conceal it. NG2 Page 256 // Cost: 600 credits.

on their Group Transport to increase the Spooks' overall distance capabilities. The hope/intention is never to need the damn things, but better to have and not need than need and not have. The Psi-Tech will layer a couple Robot tarps over the missile systems outside on the vehicle exterior figuring **Worst comes to worst, we can fire through these tarps, but flying around with them in a storage mode should hopefully conveys we are not looking to use them ... **

His applicable skills are: Mechanical Engineering (93%) -- 1d100: [63] = 63 , Robot Mechanics (88%) -- 1d100: [58] = 58 , Weapons Engineer (93%) -- 1d100: [16] = 16 , Electrical Engineer (93%) -- 1d100: [2] = 2 , Robot Electronics (86%) -- 1d100: [97] = 97 . --- (all) Figure out how long installation and integration of the weapons systems will take.

Summary for GM:
1) Check the Cryo-Container we were given
2) Go see the Psychic (if there are no recording/transmitting devices) -- Get her to share the vision and any images (since WE have a cryo-container now, it may be easier to know whether one of those appears in said vision)
3) Group Vehicle Modifications (estimating 4 days, if more time is needed then he will not attempt in this time window because the vehicles wont be delivered for 1 week, and anything further cuts things too close)
4) Take Group-Transport from Merctown to Lazlo
5) Buy tickets and take hover-train from Lazlo to Manistique (so that we can get familiar with these trains)
6) Buy additional tickets for target trip ... Manistique --> Lazlo (?)
7) Day-of --- Take Train back to Manistique from Lazlo (this will also take Spooks back to their own vehicle if necessary ... otherwise we can radio the Crew to return and meet us @ Merctown)

((As a note, before Spooks offered to destroy the container, they wanted the unopened container with parasites inside to prove completion of job. If Spooks disposes of the parasites, they only need video proof of it. Implicitly, they are relying on Spooks' reputation to have confidence that if they say it was done, it is done.))

Wayne departs with Lahz, having enjoyed the dim sum. Wen bids him farewell.

The team ponders questions for the Mystic and consider taking an early trip to get a lay of the land... or hover train in this case.

The Mystic

Those who travel to the outskirts, easily find 448 Fountain. A couple outside are loading a Mountain ATV. They stop as the Spooks approach. Assuming someone asks for Ee'sha, a human woman in her 40s climbs down, wipes her hands off and greets the Spooks. Yes, I'm Ee'Sha, what is it that you want from me?"

Lahz will still take the container that Brewster had originally offered because it offers multiple options (both for containment and for misdirection if needed).

==============

Once they arrive out on the Outskirts and locate easily 448 Fountain, the Psi-Tech flags Ray, "Video recording on. I want images on both of those folks and a good ID on the Mountaineer ATV, including image as well." When the human woman in her 40s climbs down and indicates that she is Ee'Sha Lahz waves, "Greetings. I am here about a vision. Have a friend over at the Mystic College who said you had a hell of a seeing ... This Danger? Does it go near Psyscape??? ... Can I impose on you? Could you show me? Please?"

If Ee'Sha agrees, Lahz will grit his teeth and lower his personal Mind-Block to allow the telepathic display. If she agrees, Lahz will offer some payment [10,000 Credits] to the lady for her kind assistance.
