Pretty sure that falls under WP chain or something like that. I'd have to double check the Japan book to see what it says and then see if RUE rolled it into something else.

    Max # of Minions: 2 lesser (4 sub demons) - sub demons or imp-like minor being, poltergeists or haunting entity = 1 lesser/2 lesser beings = 1 greater

Alright, we need to make a quick change on how you guys post for combat. I prefer this particular template for combat posts... it makes life real easy.

Parries (Note what you're parrting with... hands, sword, etc): Post as many rolls as you have attacks. ie. 5 attacks= 5 parries. Esra if you're dual wielding post double your attacks.
Dodges (Here you put the reason you would dodge, like armor reduced to 50% or what not): Again as many rolls as you have attacks. I take the dodges from the last actions up, ie 5 actions... your 5th action is the first I sacrifice. This way you don't need to post reserved actions that may never come to fruition.

After all that is done, post you flavor text... Ie the role playing part of this exercise. This way I'm not digging through the post to find the rolls intermingled with the role playing.

Greetings and salutations, fellow champions of good (or at least, fellow scourges of evil)!

Just wanted to come in and introduce myself - I will be joining you all in the game as soon as Consumer is able to make it happen (which should be pretty soon, hopefully!)...

Could someone fill me in on how the "Farm" came to be, and where it is actually located? Is it on (or within a mile of) a Ley Line? That would certainly make casting some of the more expensive spells easier (and be a boon to Rufus as well, I imagine!)

If anyone has any questions, feel free to ask - I will do my best to answer :)

Greetings and salad dressings, fellow spell-slinger! :D

Back at the dawn of recorded time, in the very early stages of the Templar's ancient history, the group was sponsored by the Warrior's Shrine and its HQ was part of the shrine complex. Ultimately though the group went independent and the farm is a work in progress towards giving the group a new HQ (I was on hiatus at the time this happened, but it's my understanding the group was awarded ownership of the farm as payment for a job. Hopefully Consumer and/or Jason Long can further elaborate). And by HQ, I really mean a place to park the group's Behemoth Explorer when we're not out in the field on a mission. Think of the RV lots at a campground where you can park and hook up to shore power/water/sewer/etc -- only MUCH bigger.

Unfortunately while the farm is close to Merctown proper, as I recall it's not close enough to any ley lines for magical bonuses. Or at least I can't recall ever having been able to tap them. Dhaltuun, Two Claws, and/or Dexter may be able to offer some additional experience along that line. I have a "master plan" (long-term) in mind that would require some significant buy-in from the rest of the team, and Consumer, as it would be an epic arc taking a fair chunk of adventure time. It involves making a new HQ at a nexus point.

It's several years IRL down the road - I'd need to Dual OCC to make it happen, which is (at minimum) 5 levels away - probably more. I think the team will be into it, once I get the general logistics down. It might also be helpful for another spell-slinger to Dual OCC into a complementary OCC - or, alternatively, have another player join up who wants to play that OCC. I have a female friend who is actually interested in doing just that.

But I'll explain more when it's time for the big reveal :D

I am super stoked (and impatient) to get going! ;)

Welcome! Rufus is correct. We got the farm as payment for a mission to help out a community just outside MercTown. If I remember correctly, the farm is about 1 mile outside the walls of MercTown.
At the point when we started the current job, the farm wasn't very organized and consisted primarily of a farmhouse, barn, and a couple outbuildings. Jason has put some team funds into fixing it up. Much of that will , hopefully, be complete when we get back to town. We have a care-taker and several locals who do the labor.

Looking forward to it. As I mentioned to Rufus, Salomón is a "creator/builder" of sorts (though in a different way than a TW). He would love to be active in renovating the facilities, improving defenses, etc. Eventually, I've got some long term plans that involve staking out a new HQ , but that's a ways off and will require a significant investment from me in terms of character arc and development (including a Dual O.C.C. choice). I think the team will be onboard with it once I get a better idea of the path forward and can present the plan. And, there's no reason we couldn't maintain two facilities (a "Merctown" branch, as it were, and the other one, wherever it might end up).

A round is 15 seconds, limit your speech to what you could speak in 15 seconds, no monologing.

This is thought, it is Italicized.

A note on skills. I assume you can speak your native language, no rolls necessary, unless you are trying to explain a foreign concept to a non-native speaker.

If you have 60% and up in a skill, you don't need to roll unless, stressed, or trying to explain a foreign concept.

Radio: Basic, no rolls needed for general use of a communication device. Changing frequencies, or installing them requires rolls.

Side note on skills posted. Feel free to post skills that you are unsure would work for a task, just make note of why you think the skill could be useful.

So from the absolute variety of how you all post your combat posts, I can see that a refresher to what is expected is in order so here is a sample.

Perception: 1d100: [67] = 67 /29%
Just in Case: 1d20: [17] = 17 ; 1d100: [11] = 11
Conditions: Note what is active, if you have powers active they should be here with durations. (ex: On all the Drugs, Presence Sense 2:00 minutes)

Initiative: 1d20+2: [13]+2 = 15 (Possible note here for very specific reason why this would change.)
Number of Attacks: 5

Action One: Dance a jig.
Action Two: Realize I need to Activate a force field, activate force field (40 M.D.C; 4 minutes).
Action three: Fire my NG-45 LP at the deranged clown from the dumpster. (Strike: 1d20+1: [6]+1 = 7 ; Damage: 5d6: [4, 1, 1, 2, 1] = 9 M.D.)
Action four: Move towards the clown, drawing my salsa-matic 3000.
Action five: Gallagher the deranged clown. (Strike: 1d20+5: [15]+5 = 20 ; Damage: 3d6: [3, 1, 6] = 10 M.D.

If you are a mage or Psychic, you must use actions to activate powers, same goes for items that are not automatic, like force fields and such.

Parries as needed: 1d20+7: [17]+7 = 24 , 1d20+7: [3]+7 = 10 , 1d20+7: [16]+7 = 23 , 1d20+7: [2]+7 = 9 , 1d20+7: [3]+7 = 10 . Note I made 5, same as my actions.
Dodge (vs Ranged attacks, or Whatever trigger you'd use to decide when it's time to dodge) 1d20+5: [5]+5 = 10 , 1d20+5: [10]+5 = 15 , 1d20+5: [14]+5 = 19 , 1d20+5: [12]+5 = 17 , 1d20+5: [18]+5 = 23 . Again note, 5 actions, 5 dodges. If these are used they'll come off you last actions. No need to reserve actions for dodge.

Contingencies
Will not attack if the drugs wear off, or I realize the Deranged clown is a Splugorth.

This is where you would write the meat of your post, full of thought, "word", and actions.

This is what a combat post should look like. Make sure you're doing your math, the less math I have to do, the less likely I am to shoot your character on principle of disliking math. If any of you have a question, please for the love of Cthulhu ask.

Alright real talk. I'm feeling like most of you are not enjoying the adventure, given that a majority of your characters complain incessantly about what is going on, and to be frank it's disheartening to me.

This whole adventure is meant to be an exploration based scenario, driven by the group instead of me just railroading you around an adventure. I thought the group might like that as a change of pace, but it is looking like I'm just wrong and that I shouldn't have bothered to change from the strictly linear adventures you've been on in the past.

Am I right or wrong, please someone tell me.

I for one am enjoying it. RL has kept me distracted for reasons I won't go into here. I agree that we haven't been coordinated at all. We seemed to do better back when we used this thread instead of Google Chat. I think we should get back to using this more.

I am interested to see who and what we will meet. Jason, being a professional soldier, would welcome meeting Nemo's people. I think he would find that environment comforting.
